From A49 via Dorrington follow Cardington/Church Preen. Straight on at the cross roads and over the saddle, take the first farm entrance to the right. Park in the first field on the right. Walk to T/O up the back of the ridge via the gate provided. In good conditions it is possible to take off at this point and work up the ridge to the left but a walk up the ridge gives increasing likelihood of soaring. Most PGs take this option; most HGs do not!
Take-off is Straightforward
Top landing is virtually impossible for HG
Bottom landing is technically straightforward but there are many POWER LINES. See map - fields 1,2 & 3 can be used except when cropped. Check field availability and condition before flying. Do NOT LAND in any other field except in real emergency. The ridge is low at T/O end - leave sufficient height for the glide into wind. CLOSE ALL GATES.
This area is used by low flying military aircraft on weekdays.
Halfpenny Green 19m downwind.
