Monday has a chance of some ridge soaring. Currently SE but due to gradually pick up and go SSW. Early on this morning if its not murky wrekin or corndon or even camlo. Later on might be more awkward. Again camlo might be ok or shephers tump but it might be blown out there for launching. Forecasts dont show it being SW enough for clatter but its better if windy.
Rest of week until the weekend blown out or rained off.

Saturday shaping up nicely for a nice Long Mynd soaring day

Still looking promising for the long mynd. I think theres a good chance that wave will affect the hill. This could cause any one of a number of situations not just smooth air and great hight gains. What often happens when wave sets up is that cumulus will either keep forming in just the right place to allow thrrmalling up to cloudbase or stop the clouds from reaching the hill and make ridge soaring ok but thermalling difficult. The wind could also change abruptly.
What im trying to say is to not be surprised if its not as you expect it to be and also dont expect it to stay as it is when you get there.
Apart from that, it still looks a good place to go for most pilots hg or pg.

Ive heard that the mynd was wave affected a lot on saturday but lots of flying done so sll good for most people.
Sunday looks blown out even for HG with a very msrked wind gradient. Direction ssw.

Monday might be ok at the mynd.
