Forecasts are not aligning very well at present for the week, so not very clear about this yet.
Monday somewhere between ESE N SE ok wind speed, but towards Wales might be rainy or not. Wrekin may be suitable and due to be in better air but only if the winds in the right direction, it wont cope if not. Corndon may be too close to the rain, or not!.
Tuesday rainy maybe.
Wednesday north but too light to ridge soar.
After that it might go SW or might be on the mynd but maybe too light to soar.

Wednesday now looking west after the fog clears, but at present far too light to ridge soar and not very high base if there's any thermals. It's been changing a lot so it might improve - more wind further west but not clear if Llandinam will be windy enough or the right direction either.
Thursday light west as well but cloudier.

Today now looks better in terms of the air mass but still very light winds from the west. Cloudbase now much higher than previously indicated Most likely it will be thermic enough from late lunchtime to be able to launch and thermal, but no forecast says it will be strong enough to ridge soar. Rasp is at a odds with itself as it shows some nearby dead areas with zero thermals yet lapse charts show no spreadout or high cloud to cause it basically a dead area all the way down the Welsh border region.

It was actually quite good for a while in the afternoon today - more wind than forecast, and thermic. Died off around 4 or so.

Thursday looks a bit similar to yesterday - hopefully as geoff detailed. Due to be largely wsw and a tiny bit stronger than yesterday though but at least met office has it coming west mid afternoon. Rasp has the mynd in another big dead area, better further south. I think this might be the southerly end of a weak cold front that is due to pass during the day, but not sure about that.
