Hands up all who did the following before going flying

Hands up all who did the following before going flying

Postby Crawford Coulson » Tue Oct 18, 2022 1:44 pm

Hands up all who did the following before going flying today, give yourself a pat on the back:

1. Checked and understood a weather forecast that provides sufficient detail for flight for where you are going
2. Refreshed knowledge of any nearby airspace restrictions
3. Checked the relevant site guide and club forum/Telegram etc. for site updates
4. Submitted a CANP in time (by 8pm night before) : https://canp.logans.me.uk (click 'instructions' on the menu if you've not used this way of submitting one before).
5. Checked NOTAMS for the day e.g. https://notaminfo.com/nationalmap (learn how to adjust the options to be relevant!)
6. Called the AIS Information Line on 08085 354802 or +44 (0)1489 887515 for up to date information on specific NOTAM, including Restricted Areas (Temporary), Airspace Upgrades and Emergency Restrictions of Flying

Just a reminder :)
