Following a change of service provide from O2 to THREE, we can now offer video clips from our two Long Mynd cameras. The links are on our club weather pages below where the photographs are shown.

This detail may change, due to making sure that we don't burst our data limit each month, but the photographs are now every ten minutes (as requested by club members a while back) and video clips every twenty minutes during each day. Each video clip is 20 seconds long, enough to see aircraft moving about and pilots launching from our field.

This change of service provider is at no cost to the club, the monthly charge is the same as with O2, but 8 times more data and we have gone from a 3G service to 4G, hence now being able to provide the video's. No cost to the club but a huge amount of hassle for me, but apart from getting a better pole to mount it on, all done now. You will no doubt notice that if there's any wind the video's wobble about - it's because the scaffold pole is not rigid enough, but at least it shows its a video and not a photo if no birds fly past.

Please also note that we have also changed data supplier from O2 for the Long Mynd weather station a few months back and this is saving us nearly £6 per month, so all told we have saved money and getting more for it.
