Reminder – parking remains very sensitive at sites

Parking reminder – parking remains a very sensitive issue at some of our sites. Corndon, Clunbury and the Lawley especially but assume this currently affects all our sites especially when busier. Park sensibly and in accordance with the relevant site guide. Please do not park in such a way that you would obstruct farm vehicles that may be towing wide trailers and do not park so as to cause a nuisance to locals. Always close gates behind you – safest to close them even if you find them open when you arrive.

Please do not drive beyond the second gate at Corndon – (from White Grit (north side)) park ‘well over ’ and ‘well clear of field access gates’ near the bottom where the dirt track starts or in the limited parking area at the second gate. Only the two local schools and the tenant farmer may take a vehicle through the second gate and up the hill. It has been made clear to us that any other vehicles driving to the top risk the loss of the site.

If you are approached by a concerned or upset local or landowner please remain calm and polite and leave if requested or sensible; then report the incident to the committee so we can try to smooth things over. If in doubt or if you have any concerns or suggestions, please contact any committee member.
