CORNDON HIGH LEVEL RISK – VEHICLES SHOULD NOT DRIVE TO TOP

CORNDON HIGH LEVEL RISK OF SITE LOSS – VEHICLES SHOULD NOT DRIVE TO THE VERY TOP

Yesterday at least 1 non-authorized vehicle drove to the very top of Corndon. Make no mistake the Clubs activities on Corndon are currently being VERY closely scrutinized and the risk of losing the site is at a very high level if we break our agreed terms. The Estate Manager visits the hill often and has already challenged vehicles driving up. If you do drive up, it will be noticed sooner rather than later. Tenant farmer aside only 2 vehicles are allowed to drive to the top, those of Leavesley Aviation and YX Paragliding. The only alternative is no vehicles but this would be in nobody’s interests.

Every member knows driving to the top of Corndon is putting the site at risk and there is little more the Committee can do. Please take a photo and report any vehicles driving to the top however it seems those ignoring this rule are already well aware they should not. Please put some peer pressure on those who still insist on risking losing the site for everyone if you value flying Corndon. As we have found with Bache and Sarn, once lost it is near impossible to regain a site.

Please park as requested on the site guide, do not obstruct the track or gates for farm vehicles, please do not drive to the very top, please do not break any site rules there.

To be absolutely clear, the risk of losing Corndon IS CURRENTLY AT A VERY HIGH RISK LEVEL and we are being watched closely.

Please do not drive up to the very top.

Thank you, LMSC Committee
