Calling pilots of all levels for a fun comp- the Advance BCC

Postby Crawford Coulson » Mon May 17, 2021 10:29 pm

The LMSC is hoping to enter a team (or two) into the BCC (Advance British Clubs Challenge) this year. Its looking very well supported with 15 Clubs and 25 Teams so far!

“A friendly, BHPA recreational club level competition, the focus is firmly on safety, enjoyment and mentored team flying to aid paragliding pilot development, rather than higher level out-and-out racing”.

A bonus is that within the competition and team structure, CP pilots are allowed to fly XC in order to gain experience!

You should be:

CP+ 15 (ideally) hour pilot

or

P rated pilot finding XC a struggle

and

We also need a number of experienced XC pilots willing to lead the team (P or AP) and/or help mentor both on the ground and in the air! Yes you will fly! (You do not have to help every round, just those you want to!)

Places are limited and open to LMSC members (you must also be a BHPA member).

This should be great fun!

To express an interest and to be invited to the LMSC BCC Telegram group, please reply or email lmsc.chairman@gmail.com stating your rating (CP, P or AP).

Wishing our Long Mynd Soaring Club members who are going to the first rounds of the Advance British Club Challenge competition this weekend the best of luck!
Our Club team will be doing 3 rounds over 3 days in South East Wales with Saturday confirmed as Pandy then likely Talybont for following days.
We have had a great response with 18 pilots in the clubs BCC group and to fill 3 days in a row with 6 pilots each round (varying pilots) at short notice over a Bank holiday weekend is brilliant.

Fly safe & have fun!

18 pilots from the club! That's really, really good! It should be a great learning experience, and a lot of fun, for everyone. Good luck!
