Week beginning Monday 28th December
The amount of cloud is going to be critical this week. With very little temp change during the day, any low cloud is unlikely to clear unless the air mass changes to bring in drier air. This is going to be quite localised, so very difficult to predict with any level of confidence.
Monday due to back north and moderate speed.
Tuesday nnw backing nw.
Wednesday west and light to moderate, but be aware that black knoll is closed for pheasant shooting that day, so it would be a walk up to our own long mynd launch only as roads are expected to be iced or snow closed.
Thursday onwards going more northerly again.
If anywhere looks partularly promising to be clear, will post again.

Re: Week beginning Monday 28th December
Today looks quite promising for the Long Mynd and the sky is quite clear at present, but remember, no flying down to Black Knoll or walking up and launching from that end due to the pheasant shooting today.
Thursday possibly slightly more wind and NW direction.

Re: Week beginning Monday 28th December
Thursday is now forecast to be wsw to west and only veering north quite late on, but being pretty light winds so maybe only occasionally scratchy soarable at the mynd. That is based on what little flying was done on Wednesday at the mynd seen on webcams.
Friday light nw
Saturday sunnier and more nnw wind
Sunday possibly too windy n or nne
