Dear pilots

From 18.00 Friday 16th October a ban was introduced preventing travel into, and within, Wales from Covid-19, tier 2 (high) or tier 3 (very high) risk areas. This will of course affect some of our sites.

Below is a link currently providing real-time information by Postcode regarding the status and rules currently in force for pilots planning to travel from England.

We kindly ask that all members adhere to all ongoing Covid-19 restrictions. Please check that any travel plans for paragliding or Hang Gliding (including retrieves) do not breach these rules.

Please go to site guide to check what sites are in Wales.

Please go to the Government Covid-19 website for full details.

Kind regards,

LMSC Committee.

As from today the 9th of November the Lockdown across Wales has ended.
As a consequence, all our flying sites in Wales only, will be open for normal flying activities to those members who reside in Wales.
As England will still be in Lockdown, we advise members who reside in England to respect the guidelines and refrain from travelling across the border to fly, as this could be regarded as non-essential travel and the appropriate penalties could apply should you be stopped by the police.

Kind regards,

LMSC Committee.
