Is Bache OK to fly?

Postby Crawford Coulson » Mon Sep 14, 2020 9:55 am

Hi

Hopefully someone can make the situation clear with regards to Bache hill?

In prominent position on the LMSC website, it has and currently makes it absolutely clear no pilot should fly Bache hill. I and many other pilots have done the right thing and followed this LMSC requirement.

“The farmer still states unequivocally that their is to be absolutely no flying from his property ,there are to be no exceptions, infringements are considered by him to be trespass.”

I’m a bit confused then as to why it was not changed in line with what was subsequently printed in LMSC Minutes of Meetings:

“Ralph said he didn’t mind people flying it as long as he knew who was up there and he didn’t want a club running it.”

Is Bache Hill really flyable subject to getting the OK from the farmer in advance and outside of the Club remit? Or have things changed again?

THERE IS NO CONFUSION.. ALL PILOT SOURCES OF INFORMATION THUS ARE ACCURATE

THERE ARE A SMALL NUMBER OF PILOTS THAT SEEM TO HAVE A PERSONAL SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FARMER AND WHO CONTINUE TO FLY THE SITE WITH HIS PERMISSION.

REGRETTABLY ONE OF THOSE EVEN HAD A PART TO PLAY IN LOOSING THE SITE FOR US !

BUT HEY HO

ah ok, so the minutes of Nov 2019 are factually incorrect in this regard. Fair enough and many thanks for the prompt clarification for everyone!
