Week beginning Monday 17th August

Another week dominated by very high instability, at least until near the end of the week when it goes windy for a while. Anything interestingly decent and will update, but not looking very promising yet.

Forecasts are not even as good as they were now. However there is just the glimmer of an opportunity on Sunday at the Mynd, most likely for HG's as still due to be windy. The lapse charts are pretty poor though, so just a ridge soaring day.

Sunday is still looking the same, poor lapse charts with cloud barely above the mynd top and windy, but might be soarable for HGs at times, though i doubt very pleasant for PGs. The webcams and weather stations at sarn annd clatter confirm this though the mgc wind meter suggests lower speeds but it usually does when slightly off to WSW.
