I must be bored

We are re-structuring the forums, so that all topics will appear here, rather than being split up into the various different areas. The advantage of this is that it will be easier to navigate; and topics with the most recent posts will appear at the top of the list.

I must be bored

Postby Dave Thomas » Thu Dec 20, 2018 10:56 am

All this lack of flying is getting me down.
The XC clubnight talk showed the difference between me and better pilots, they just go out and fly and don't come down as quickly, but I beat them with analysing why I didn't do as well. Se here's some more pointless statistics.

This last season I flew the PG from 22 different sites and either went downwind XC or attempted triangles from 15 of those sites, most sites I only flew once in the year.

Since starting flying a long time ago, I have self launched from 97 sites in the UK (HG and PG), and have winched, aerotowed, foot or wheeled power launched light aircraft, sailplanes, hang gliders or paragliders from 24 fields or airfields. I have viewed many more with the intention of launching but conditions I decided were not favourable at the time.

Hopefully next season I can add the self launch total to make a ton. It does show I like visiting different scenery.

Merry Christmas Dave. The world of paragliding wouldn't be the same without your quick and dry sense of humour. Keep them coming
