The Big Bash (Saturday, 8th May, Lydbury North) is free this year, though there is a charge for food. You can now book your meal online. See the Social page for more details.

We now have many coaches within the club, and it is likely that someone on the hill will be a coach on almost any half reasonable day. For any pilots, and that includes the more experienced amongst us, if you have any queries, site, weather conditions, tasks, techniques, confidence or any other thought. Please ask around for a coach - see the Long Mynd noticeboard for names and mugshots. Coaches may have the yellow armband on if they feel like it, but please do ask their help or advice even if they are without the armband.
We have coaches of different skillsets and experience, and will be able to find someone that can help or advise accordingly. We would like to engage pilots prior to turning up on the hill, to discuss how they can get the best out of their time and progress safely and with as much fun as possible so please do contact a coach (phone or email) and you will be most welcome to their time and knowledge.

The Malvern Club are organising some revision sessions to result in taking the ‘Pilot’ rating exam. They have very kindly agreed to offer the opportunity for Long Mynd members to take part.
The exam comprises a set of signed-off tasks as described in the BHPA Pilot Task Book and a 1hr 45min multiple choice exam paper. Wannabees are usually expected to have a minimum of about 20hrs post CP.
