Restricted airspace 11th - 13th June - affects XC's from the Mynd

Cosford airshow restricted airspace. This means we cannot go in it.

Confirmed. In almost the same format as last year there will be temporary restricted airspace around Cosford on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The temporary restricted airspace will be active between 1000 hrs and 1800 hrs local on 11, 12 and 13 June 2010 and extends within a circle 6nm radius of 523824N 0021819W (RAF Cosford) from surface to 8,300ft amsl.

Also please note that Shawbury will be a base for many display aircraft so expect increased transiting traffic to and from Shawbury to Cosford. Best advice is if it’s West - to South West and you’re going cross country from one of our sites - then either go somewhere else, land well before or do a local triangle.
