Long Mynd – live weather and images

The Weather station and two cameras are now fully operational in front of the Midland Gliding Club on their land, visible from their own internal west facing web cam – the pole on the far left of their pictures showing their windsock.

Pictures are being taken each 15 minutes, though this may change depending on how much data gets used on the mobile internet.

The new replacement Mynd North camera is back up, though there is a potential issue with the Solar Panels related to the weather so might have to come down again for maintenance. The North camera is being affected quite often by misting of the glass, rain, ice or snow obscuring the view – sorry about that – it faces north where the sun don’t shine!
